The ClientÂ
The client is a newly established corporate entity operating across the investment funds and manufacturing sectors, based in Shailer Park, Queensland (QLD).Â
The ProblemÂ
As a newly registered company, the client required $652,500 in short-term working capital to support manufacturing operations and manage immediate cash flow needs.Â
Due to the entityâs recent establishment, they had no historical trading data, financial statements, or tax returns. As a result, mainstream banks and Tier 1 non-bank lenders were unable to assist, given their strict requirements for 1â2 years of operating history.Â
The broker needed access to funding within a short time frame to allow the client to maintain momentum in their manufacturing operations.
The SolutionÂ
Where traditional lenders saw risk in the newly established entity, RFS identified an opportunity.Â
Our BDM’s worked closely with the broker to assess the strength of the security property and the viability of the manufacturing project. Rather than relying on historical financials, RFS focused on the quality of the residential security provided.Â
Following this assessment, the credit team approved a $652,500 short-term facility at 75% LVR, structured over a 12-month term at 18% p.a. A Conditional Approval was issued within just 5 business days.Â
The Outcome
The transaction progressed smoothly to settlement following the submission of the required documentation, providing the client with timely access to capital. Once documentation was finalised, the RFS settlements team executed the transaction efficiently, ensuring funding was delivered without unnecessary delay.
The facility provides the client with a 12-month runway to establish a trading history, supported by a clear exit strategy to refinance into mainstream commercial funding.
The broker subsequently thanked the RFS team for their support throughout the process, describing the team as “very easy to deal with.”
